Place de la Concorde



 Paris has a square of the most widespread and also the main square known as the Place de la Concorde. Designed in 1755 by Jacques Gabriel with octagonal shape and there is a moat as a barrier, this location is truly unique and different from the main square in the country or another city. He made this square was to surround the statue of King Louis VX that were built in 1748 (before the main square stands), so do not be surprised if his name was Place Louis XV. What can be done or enjoyed for in this square?• There are eight statues that mark the octagonal shape is square and there are 8 cities in France are represented by statues, the Strasbourg, Nantes, Lyon, Brest, Bordeaus, Rouen, Marseille and Lille.• The fountain is also there in the square is named La fontaine des Mers and the Elevation of the Maritime where 1 on the south side of the Obelisk and the other to the north.• Egyptian Obelisk which has a height of 23 meters was the main attraction in this square and even located in the middle so that it can immediately capture the attention of the visitors. 3,300 years old, the construction of the obelisk has been since 1836 and became one of the obelisk which is awarded by the viceroy of Egypt in 1829.
