Eisriesenwelt is the largest ice cave in the world. It covers an area of 30,000 square meters. The cave was carved by an underground river in the Tertiary age. Discovered in 1879, the cave was then opened to the public in 1912. Then the 45 kilometer network of caves explored. We can enjoy also Hymir Hall in the form of large ice formations and icicle. The cave tour lasts about two hours and journey to the cave takes several hours. So we can spend a whole day to visit the area.
