Grand Place or Grote Markt is the most famous square in Belgium, located in the center of Brussels. This spacious square built in the 14th century and used to be a big market for it is called Grote Markt (Grand Market). Grand Place is one of the most beautiful square in Europe because it is surrounded by three beautiful architecture and historic buildings that Brussels Town Hall, Guildhall, and Broodhuis. Together these buildings, the Grand Place has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

With its beauty and its position as the center of Brussels, Grand Place used to be a popular tourist attraction in Belgium, first visited by tourists before venturing further afield the city of Brussels and the Belgian state. Grand Place is also home to the convening Carpet Flower (Flower Carpet) each August 15 every 2 years which attract thousands of visitors from around the world.
